Fits scissors up to 9cm (3 1/2")
A sleek leather sheath for embroidery scissors.
Whether you’re heading out or just tidying your kit, this slip keeps your embroidery scissors safe, scratch-free, and easy to grab.
Each sheath is entirely handmade by me:
- I hand-cut each piece of leather
- Punch every stitch hole manually
- Glue, stitch, and carefully finish the edges by hand
It’s made to protect, but built to last — and only gets better with time.
Key Features:
- Firm leather hugs your scissors for a snug, slip-in fit
- Eyelet with a keychain hook so you can clip it to your kit, bag, or belt
- No closures, no bulk — just smooth, functional protection
- Made from premium Italian full-grain vegetable-tanned leather
- Finished by hand in colours that age beautifully and wear with pride
Perfect if you want to protect your sharpest tool with something equally well-crafted.
Made by hand, with care, for fellow makers.
Each leather item is made to order.
Please allow up to four weeks for production at this time. I have to source leather from Italy, and unfortunately it takes time.
Although I can manage multiple items a day, the leather stock is what influences the production times. I try to keep the leather stock available, but there is a chance I run out of a certain colour without much warning, so this can delay your order for a couple of weeks.
If you're based outside of the UK, please allow at least 14 business days for delivery from the moment you receive your shipping notification via email.
Note that shipping can take longer during busy periods.
You will be provided with a tracking number and a link to track your package.
UK shipping can take up to 4 days depending on your chosen shipping method at checkout.
Please refer to Shipping Policy for more information about shipping and delivery.
🇺🇸 USA (United States)
Effective August 29th, 2025, the United States has ended the $800 de minimis exemption for all international shipments, regardless of origin.
This means all parcels sent to the U.S. will now be subject to import duties and/or flat-rate charges, even if the total value is below $800. The method of shipping now plays a significant role in how charges are applied:
📮 If shipping via Government or National Postal Networks (e.g. Royal Mail, Evri, DPD, USPS)
- Flat-rate import charges of $80–$200 per parcel or face value-based tariffs (known as ad valorem duties) will be applied for the first 6 months.
- After this, shipments will face value-based tariffs (known as ad valorem duties).
🚚 If shipping via UPS, FedEx, or DHL (Third-Party Couriers)
- Duties are calculated as a percentage of your order’s total value (items + shipping).
- UK-origin goods face: 10% tariff
- A brokerage/handling fee of ~$12–$14 is typically added by UPS or other couriers.
🔁 CURRENT TARIFFS ON GOODS BY ORIGIN
🇬🇧 UK-Origin Goods
- 4–7% ad valorem duty (U.S. customs category dependent)
- +10% U.S. baseline tariff (April 2025 ruling)
- Affects all VIKASSPACE products including but not limited to: Embroidery Kits, Leather Goods, Market-Ready Products and more.
🇨🇳 Chinese-Origin Goods
- 4–7% ad valorem duty (product dependent)
- +30% U.S. tariff (active since May 2025)
- Applies regardless of shipping country
- Includes: Enamel Needle Minders and Scissors
📦 Important: When a parcel contains both UK and Chinese-origin goods, the entire order value + shipping is tariffed at the highest applicable rate (e.g. 30%).
⚠️ SHIPPING NOTICE FOR CHINESE 🇨🇳 ORIGIN GOODS
If your order includes Chinese-origin products (e.g. enamel needle minders or scissors), select Courier (This will be the only option available from August 22nd) at checkout.
- Postal shipments (passed to USPS) are charged a flat fee of $80–$200 per parcel.
- Courier avoids the flat fee, but all contents + shipping are tariffed at 30%, and a $12–$14 brokerage fee applies.
📦 Example:
- $20 of Chinese-origin product
- $80 of UK product
- $100 subtotal incl. shipping
- Entire $100 taxed at 30% = $30 tariff + $14 UPS fee = $44 total import charge
⚠️ DISCLAIMER
By placing an order with me, you AGREE to pay any import duties, taxes, or tariffs required by your country’s customs authorities. Failure to pay may result in delays, returns, or package destruction. I cannot offer refunds in such cases.
Please review the Refunds & Returns Policy for more information.

The Everyday Stitcher and The Milliner's Mate both are made of two leather pieces – the main body and pocket. Those two can be the same colour as the exampled in the photos, or different (no photos available at this time as I've not made such prototype). You pick!
The Organised Stitcher and The Milliner's Nest are made of three leather pieces – the main body, the needle pocket, and the threader pocket.
All three can be the same colour as in the provided examples, or different! It's totally up to you!
Just drop me a note if you want a combo in your cart and let me know!
Please note:
- I have a limited number of thread colours available to me at this time, but I can match the colours of leather offered. If you're opting for a colour combo in your case, please also let me know which colour of thread you'd like me to use to put it together, as it can't be both.
- The Needle Library is made of 5 different leather pieces or 2 "sets" of pieces – inner and outer.
Outer is the "cover" and inner is the pockets. The colour options available by default refer to these two "sets".
You can customise the pieces within the inner set further, but first please contact me for it to check availability of the leather.
Both leathers are incredible and really luxurious!
Badalssi Carlo Pueblo is a bit softer than Azteca leather, and Azteca is also quite a bit rougher on the inside compared to Pueblo.

back story
I’m not a professional leatherworker — yet — but I’ve been diving into this craft with a lot of love (and trial and error).
I originally made some needle cases for myself because I needed a neat, pocket-sized way to keep my needles organised for various projects. When I shared it online, fellow stitchers asked if they could get one too — and that’s how this little project turned into a proper offering.
